Susan B. Anthony (1820-1906) was one of the most important and
influential figures in the movement for women’s suffrage in the United States.
Additionally, she was involved with the abolitionist movement.

She founded multiple organisations, such as the
Women’s Loyal National League, the American Anti-Slavery Society, and the
American Equal Rights Association, all working to advance the rights of women
and African Americans. In 1979, she was the first woman to be featured on US
coinage.
