Merlene Ottey (b. 1960) is a former track and field athlete from Jamaica. She holds the record for the longest career of a top international sprinter, only retiring in 2012 at the age of 52.

She has won 14 World Championship medals and 9 Olympic ones, also holding the record for most Olympic Games appearances with seven. In 1992, she became the first female athlete to run 60 metres under seven seconds.
